Richardson-Allen is a family owned and managed woodworking company that began producing architectural garden structures, and custom benches in 1982. As the fifth generation on the coast of southern Maine, we operate with old world New England craftsmanship and pride of product. The skills and ingenuity of our forebears have been passed down and enhanced by today’s advances in materials and technology.
For over three decades our manufacturing facility has found a home within the old brick walls of an historic 165 year old textile mill. A mill where our great ancestors walked the same worn floors at the onset of the Industrial Revolution. Located on the edge of the Saco river as it flows into the Atlantic Ocean, where great schooners were built and launched, there is a constant reminder of the high standards in the history of American manufacturing. In today's era of disposable goods we hear a call from the past, and are inspired to honor it with our commitment to the ideals of extraordinary quality. Our goal is to actualize today’s vision while building tomorrows heirlooms.
